SecretBit Ventures

SecretBit Ventures is founded and led by Dr. Sameer Wagh, a research scientist and engineer with deep expertise spanning AI, privacy, and mathematics. His career traces a path from a Silver Medal at the 50th International Mathematics Olympiad (India's highest scorer) through a Princeton PhD, postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley, three stints at Microsoft Research (Redmond, Bangalore, Cambridge), and leadership roles building production private AI systems.

Sameer has published 20+ papers in top-tier security and cryptography conferences (PETS, USENIX Security, IEEE S&P) with over 2000 citations. His open-source frameworks — Falcon, SecureNN, and Piranha — are deployed in industry and have received the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship and Facebook Systems for ML research award. He serves on program committees for PETS and ICLR workshops, and reviews for NeurIPS, IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, ACM CCS, and EuroCrypt.

At OpenMined, he designed the first pilot of secure enclaves for AI evaluation with Anthropic and the UK AI Safety Institute, and implemented secure aggregation across United Nations agencies. At Devron, he led an R&D team delivering privacy-preserving ML infrastructure, vertical federated learning algorithms, and AI-driven code analysis — cutting LLM costs by over 90%.
